This Week's Announcements:
May 31, 2020
Please be considerate of others during this time. There is a lot of unknown with varying levels of concern. Please remember to treat others with kindness and respect their desires to remain safe. If people do not feel safe, it will deter them from attending church.
Re-entry to Sundays @ the Building
Kent and the Elders of the church have been prayerfully planning what our return to worship in our building will look like. First, it's important to recognize that our new "normal" will look very different from what we are used to.
- The Plan is to attempt to begin meeting in the building no earlier than June 7th.
- We will be meeting in the gym and only utilizing that side of the building.
- We will launch with two services, 9:30 & 11am, to lower our potential contact.
- We will not have any kids ministry programming until we are 100% sure it's safe to do so - instead they will worship with us. We will set up chairs at tables with paper to draw on and make it a fun engaging environment for them.
- Our service structure will continue to be similar to what we have done for the drive-in church - abbreviated.
- We will clean/disinfect between services to do our very best to maintain a healthy environment.
- We will not have Growth Groups in the mornings, but are looking at having them meet outside of Sunday mornings in homes and public spaces.
The exciting part about all of this
We are working on some cost-effective upgrades to the gym that we think will transform it into a fantastic space to worship. Please be looking for opportunities to serve and give towards this initiative in the near future as we make this transition. If you are interested in helping, click the down arrow on the connection card and put "remodel" in the notes section.
Finally, please know, your safety and the safety of those around us is of the utmost priority to our leadership. If we feel we need to push back these plans, we will not hesitate to do so in order to prioritize your health. We can continue with drive-in church indefinitely and have already discussed plans to alter the service time to earlier in the morning with a second online service if we continue much further into Summer.
Parking Attendants Needed
If you would be interested in helping parking cars on Sunday mornings, please put "parking" in the respond section of your connection card.

Matthew 20:20-2820 Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Jesus with her sons and, kneeling down, asked a favor of him.21 “What is it you want?” he asked. She said, “Grant that one of these two sons of mine may sit at your right and the other at your left in your kingdom.”22 “You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said to them. “Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?”“We can,” they answered.23 Jesus said to them, “You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father.”24 When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers. 25 Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. 26 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
The New Testament church met together regularly to remember Jesus' death and resurrection by taking communion together. We invite you to partake with us in your car during this time of remembrance. If you brought bread and juice you may take it now, if you do not have any physical reminders, that's ok, take some time to remember Jesus by reading this scripture (read allowed if others are present with you):
1 Corinthians 11:23-29 New International Version (NIV)
23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
27 So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28 Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. 29 For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves.
