October has been a full month of traveling fairly non-stop for Pat and me. Through all of our comings and goings we have again been so richly blessed by the kindness of so many wonderful people who have opened up their homes and hearts to us. We send our warmest and heartfelt thanks to all those in the Redding Christian Fellowship, CA, First Christian Church of Havre de Grace, MD, Ellis Road Church in Crowley, LA, in O’Fallon MO, West Burlington Christian Church, IA, Morton Christian Church, IL, Donoho Prairie and Antioch Christian Churches in Texico, IL, as well as SW Christian Church, Mt. Vernon, IL and the Fairfield Christian Church, Fairfield IL. While it takes time and space to list each church, we want you to know that we have been much touched by your warm reception and love for the cause of Christ in overseas missions and wanted to take this time to thank you.
As we approach November, we have a number of friends and fellowships still to visit, on into Dec and January. All of these dates are currently filled. However, we have a word of announcement to make, and we want to share this news with you so that if there are those who want to make plans in the New Year, they, you, can do so. This is the news… inasmuch as we are currently back in the USA and had been looking at concluding our speaking and travels in early February 2011, we have also been in close contact with members of our NBCM Board as well as the rest of our fellow team members in Thailand. At this time it is the consensus of all the team that some additional speaking needs to be undertaken on behalf of Eugene and Helen Morse. As we have shared before, because of some health issues, they will not be able to return to refresh, update and report on the work that is going on through their work efforts. Since we are already here, they have asked us to take some additional time to visit those churches who have faithfully supported them these many years, and to report on the current state of the work in Thailand, Burma and on into China on their behalf. We also concur with them that this is a task that is already overdue but so far they/we have not had anyone able to be here to itinerate for them. They wish they could be here to this directly! In light of these needs, we have agreed to extend the timetable of our return to the field to take in a few more months of time to reconnect vital relationships with those on the field. It is our prayer that if you have been supporting the ministry, or would consider doing so, we are open to discussing some workable dates.
We are therefore letting this availability be made known to all on our own mailing list who have also been aware of, and have been supporting Eugene and Helen Morse (my parents) in missions ministry. We will be available to begin visiting churches on their behalf starting February 13 onwards through most of May. If there are any churches in the CA area where speaking and sharing would be possible, we want to work those in first if at all possible as we will be in the CA area at that time. We will be making some follow up calls in the weeks to come to touch base with those we can contact directly. Please contact us as soon as possible if a visit would be feasible.

In the attached End of October Update, there are many brief reports on things taking place this past month in the Thailand work. Some earlier projects are nearing completion, some are still in progress. A few new ones are also on the table. In each of these tasks, we share them with you for your information, prayers and then if the Lord so moves, to be a part of the particular facet of work that you feel led to invest in for eternal issues.
We are pleased to report the completion of the flannelgraph project, the reserve water storage tanks at the Bible school and further progress on the Bethany Village expansion project. That need as well as some of the others nearing completion will, hopefully, be able to be wrapped up by the end of the year! We again ask you to consider (if you have not already done so!), sharing a one-time extra gift for a particular project need listed here that you would feel led to be a part of. We thank you for your kind and thoughtful sharing over so many past needs as well. We also realize that there may be those who have not been able to do so till now and this may be the right time where they can be a part of leaving a living legacy in that far part of the world where there are many precious saints laboring under enormous odds, and for whom a partial assist as we share about in the attached news update, would truly be a lifeline of encouragement. May the Lord be with you and your family as you serve Him and love Him. With hearts full of gratitude, Click for full Newsletter and updates.
