Our Mission

Helping People Find Their Way Back Home to God!

Our mission is a carefully crafted statement that reflects who we are and what we are about.  We long for every single person, no matter how far they have run from God, to come back Home into His loving arms.  In Luke 15:11-32, Jesus told the story of a son who took his inheritance from his father while his dad was still living.  The boy went and squandered it on crazy living, Vegas style.  He was broke and a joke and living far from his father.  He eventually got a job on a pig farm slopping the pigs.  He was so hungry he started to think the slop looked like a good option to fill his belly. That’s when he realized that he could go home if he wanted to.  His dad fed his servants better than this. If you’ve been living a life apart from God, we are betting that you’ve seen some pretty wild stuff that, if we are honest, might have been fun for a while.  But at some point that wild living catches up to us.  We start to hurt relationships and begin to form addictions and soon we are spiraling out of control and becoming more and more spiritually poor. What we love about God, is that He wants us to come home to Him.  In the story Jesus told, the son comes running home to his dad, but before he can even get up the driveway, his Father is running to him, embracing him, loving him.  What I love about the story is that the Father was looking for the son.  You may not have realized it before now, but God is looking for you, He’s waiting for you.  He wants to wrap His arms around you and begin a relationship with you.  And He’s put everything on the line to have that relationship with you. That is why we are SO passionate about helping people find their way back home to God!  Because God is waiting for every single person, hoping that all of us might change our minds and turn from the life we are living and turn to Him.

Our Vision

Taking the Gospel to the Sticks!

We are not a city church.  We are a church that is set smack dab in the middle of rural America – the Sticks, and we love it!

Our vision is to take the gospel, through Plus 1 Living, to every dirt road, every farmers field, and every place we work and play.

Our Values

Biblical Principles That Inform the Decisions We Make and the Way We Interact.

  1. Scripture is our Standard– we let the Bible be our trump card in our lives (it trumps our opinions, preferences, personal tastes, etc.). If God says it, we want to live it. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12)
  2. Servant Leadership is our Moto – in every situation we ask the question, “what is the servant-hearted thing to do?”(Matthew 20:28, Mark 10:45, John 13:1-17)
  3. Unity is our Passion – we guard and protect the unity of the body of Christ(John 17:20-23) by being intentional about God’s mission in this world – it’s hard to fight over inconsequential things when you recognize there are people going to hell.   We also are intentional with one another when we have wronged someone or been wronged ourselves (following Mt. 18:15-20 & Mt. 5:23&24).  We always assume the best intentions of those around us because we all have a deep love for the body of Christ and the world around us.
  4. Reaching the Lost is our Desire – we will do whatever it takes, short of sin, to help people find their way back home to God (Matthew 28:16-20, 1 Corinthians 9:19-23)

“The culture of our church is defined by the values we live out.

We don’t gossip, or manipulate, we don’t assume there are politics being played out, because we walk the walk and talk the talk.  We honor God’s word as our authority in every matter, we roll up our sleeves and serve – no matter our position, we care more about the unity of the body of Christ than our own personal preferences, and we want to see people who are far from Jesus come close to Him.

When the church lives out these values, it’s one of the most beautiful things in the world!”
