Leader?  What, me?

Do you think of yourself as a leader?  We believe that every single person has a leadership role somewhere.  It may be with your children, coworkers, or an official position.  But one thing is for sure, we all have a role as a leader somewhere.  The question is whether we are being intentional about how we use that influence or if we are just playing fast and loose and leading by the seat of our pants.  We have a set of values that we try and live by as Christ Followers.  These are values that help frame the way we lead in our church and community.  In our families and our workplace.  We hope that you will read through these values and start to intentionally make them a part of everything that you do in your day to day life as you help people find their way back home to God!

ELEVATE Leadership Values

Embrace God’s love
God loves you deeply and sees you not as you are but as you will be when He’s through with you.  There are a lot of Christ Followers who have lost momentum in their faith due to a simple inability to embrace and trust that God loves them.  It will be difficult to become a true Elevate Leader if you can’t accept God’s undying love for you.

Love others, even when it’s hard
We love others passionately–not just those who are easy to love, but those who are hard to love too.  Let’s face it, some people are easier to love than others, but God doesn’t give us a choice, He loves everyone with an equal ferocity and so we choose to be intentional about love those around us like Christ loved us.

Engage God with grit
Grit is defined as: courage and resolve; strength of character.  We take knowing God seriously, we don’t let little things get in the way of us seeking Him.  We are faithful in meeting together with other believers weekly (church), we seek God daily in prayer and scripture reading and other spiritual disciplines.  We have grit and we like it!

Verbify your life, don’t just say it, live it
Ok, we know that’s not a word, but you get the point.  People should know we are Christ Followers before we ever tell them, just by the way we live.  We know that it’s our actions that show what we believe, we know it’s our words that show what’s in our heart.  So, we cultivate strong beliefs and a strong heart to produce a life that shows our love for Jesus!

All in for the Kingdom
We are all in, with our time, money, energy and families. It’s all for His glory.

Take last place whenever possible
Leadership is servanthood–plain and simple.  We strive to take a posture of humility and serve others first, we want to beat others to this punch.  We do this because Jesus led in this manner.  We believe that servant leadership is the most empowering way to raise up other Elevate leaders.

Everyone, everywhere, whatever the cost
We are committed to helping people find their way back home to God, no matter what!  The only thing we won’t do to reach people is sin, other than that, everything is on the table.
